Home Inspection

A home inspection involves visually examining the home and its accessible elements on the inspection day. This encompasses a thorough assessment of the roof, foundation, structure, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, insulation, walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, and other integral parts of the property. The objective is to identify any damage, defects, or necessary repairs in these components, which are then documented in a comprehensive report.

Sewer Lateral Camera Inspection

A sewer lateral camera inspection is a visual assessment of a property's sewer conditions and defects utilizing a specialized camera. Inspectors thoroughly examine and evaluate the sewer conditions of the property, specifically focusing on identifying common defects such as blockages, cracks, and other issues within the sewer laterals.

Gas Safety Inspection

A gas safety check is conducted by a Gas Safe Registered engineer to ensure that all gas appliances in a property are operating properly. This comprehensive inspection includes examining the appliances for gas tightness, assessing standing and working pressure (if test points are accessible), comparing burner pressure/gas rate with the manufacturer’s data plate, and verifying the satisfactory provision of all required ventilation.

Radon Gas Inspection

A radon gas inspection entails the examination of the air in your home to detect the presence of radon gas, a naturally occurring radioactive substance known to be a potential cause of lung cancer. Typically, this test involves placing a small device in your home for a few days, after which it is sent to a lab for analysis. The test results provide a measurement of the radon levels in your home, helping to determine whether they exceed the recommended safety levels.

Pest & Termite Inspection

A pest and termite inspection is a specialized examination designed to identify and assess the presence of creatures that could either inhabit or cause damage to your home. A pest inspection encompasses a range of potential pests, including termites, rodents, spiders, carpenter ants or bees, and stinging insects. On the other hand, a termite inspection involves a professional pest inspector conducting a visual assessment of all accessible and available areas of a property to detect active termites and/or termite damage.

Fireplace Inspection

A fireplace inspection involves assessing the condition and safety of your fireplace. A fireplace inspector examines the chimney and fireplace to identify potential issues such as structural problems, blockages, damage, or chemical buildup. In a Level 1 inspection, the technician focuses on examining the basic soundness of the structure, ensuring there are no obstructions in the chimney. Additionally, the technician checks gas connections, dampers, and other fireplace appliance components to ensure they are in good condition.

HVAC Inspection

An HVAC inspection commonly involves a thorough examination of your HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) appliances. This includes testing safety controls, assessing airflow throughout the home for potential issues, inspecting blower components, checking refrigerant pressure, testing gas piping and pressure, evaluating the heat pump in both heating mode and defrost cycle, and inspecting the condensate drain for any clogs or blockages. The goal is to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and efficiency of the HVAC system.
