I was downstair the other day and smelled something nasty…..opened the shower door ( we never use that one) and it smelled like sewer and looked like something had backed up in it…..but it drained ok and so did the toliet down there. Yesterday was downstairs it all of a sudden it was like someone flushed the toliet ( the washer was going) when I went to check it was like the toliet had exploded water all over…..not a lot but up on the seat and stuff……..should I call a plumber? I don’t want something really bad to happen…..Thanks

It is in an outside closet which shares a wall with the garage. The plywood under the heater is wet, and the concrete in the garage is damp. I live in an area that has very hard water and don’t know if this could be the problem. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? There is a lot I can do (as a single woman) but I know nothing about water heaters! Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What are the specifics? You”ll work with Horton, not the plumber.
Builders carry a one year warranty on everything after that they have to be liable for work that was not done to code or incorrectly.
ie: If a pipe busted or came loose without cause they should fix it, if it is a leaky faucet you are responsible.

I’m 19 years old and taking an unpaid plumbing apprenticeship course. I am at college 2 days a week and on voluntary placement 2 days a week, working 4 days in total. Am I entitled to any income support or benefits or will I need to get a weekend job as well to get any income?

I recently moved to Oregon from Nebr. about every job I have look out they require a license of some kind. I am over 50years old and in Nebr it wasn’t needed in a ruarl area. I am talking carpentry, plumbing , general repair, some electrical.
