I guess “going to the bathroom” is a euphamism in itself.
I’ve heard
- using the ‘room’
- answering the call of nature
- talking to a man about a horse
- painting the porcelain
- checking the plumbing
- continuing the water cycle
any others you’ve heard?

Half of Downtown Eastside populated by mentally ill
A Vancouver Coastal Health inspection that looked at 3,100 single-occupancy hotel rooms in the Downtown Eastside found that half of all Downtown Eastside residents suffer from mental illness.Inspectors also said half of the residents live on government assistance, Global TV reports. Out of all the neighbourhood’s single-occupancy hotels, 80 per cent were found to have bed bugs, and 77 per cent were home to rodents or cockroaches.a quarter of all landlords charged in excess of $325 a month to rent rooms. Annually, $6.7 million is spent for rent in Downtown Eastside hotels, while $6.3 is spent on emergency response services in the community.
Plz give me a short reponse(50-100words) to this article that can be published on the newspaper.

I have a bathroom where 3 things are connected to one main drain underground, a sink, a toilet and a bath/shower. I noticed the toilet water was moving in the toilet yesterday, and today the toilet is draining very slow & when I had the shower on the toilet was bubbling. This also happened when I was trying to drain the sink water. The shower didn’t drain too well this morning, so I put liquid plumber in and it seemed to help, but the toilet still didn’t drain too well. It’s still doing it. I put water in the tub again and it drained slow as well as the toilet, I plunged it a couple times and water started coming into the tub, I stopped up the tub and the toilet drained, again, slow, but faster then it had been. I opened up the drain for the shower and it went out fine, but still the toilet is draining very slow. The toilet is also draining completely, the water doesn’t stop where it usually does, but rather most if not all the water drains out of the toilet. Any ideas? Thanks

About two weeks ago my hot water suddenly seemed to lose pressure. The cold water pressure is normal but the hot water pressure has dropped to about 1/4 of what it was. I’ve checked the best that a can and it would seem that the pressure of the cold water going into the water heater is fine but the pressure of the water coming out is low. I’ve flushed the tank out thoroughly hoping that was the problems with no success. What else could be causing this?

hi there.
I “sold” my rental and signed my paperwork monday. The Buyer signed tuesday and received the keys.
I was supposed to get the check yesterday after the loan funded but since my wife is pregnant we were at the doctors office for a routine check and we didnt get out until after business hours …. i figured no big deal i would get it today (wednesday)
Today they tell me the lender never funded the loan because there is paperwork from the inspection missing.
Now i am LIVID.
the buyer has my keys and is in my house. …who screwed up in this situation? the realtor for not ensuring everything was set? the title transfer agency for handing over the keys? the inspector for not forwarding the report?
transfer agency says they expect the loan to fund any moment.. but i cant get a straight answer fromt he realtor that the lendor/ buyer has everything in place.
I want them out… but eviction doesnt seem like the right course in this situation.
whats my next move??

The house has been re-plumbed and 1000 sq ft of new floor tile.
There has been new carpet as well, but I think that is a 5 yr depreciation.
-
And is depreciation figured by dividing the cost among 5 yrs, so a $1000 carpet job would be a $200 deduction every year for 5 years?
(I am trying to help my 77yr old mother)
