How Much Would It Cost To Install A Tankless Water Heater?
I need to know how much the heater is, too.

I bought a new washing machine (a Hoover Nextra something)back in Feb 07, I have now moved house and have plumbed in the washing machine and when I do a cycle the water won’t drain out. I have taken off the kickplate and checked the filter and there is nothing blocking it, and when I disconnect the waste pipe from under the sink only a very small amount of water comes out (the machine had 3-4 inches of water in it) which makes me think that this may be blocked somewhere? Obviously the machine is still under 12 months warranty but before I call an engineer out can anyone suggest any way I might be able to fix it myself? (Obviously not taking it apart or anything, just wondered if there is anything else I should check beforehand!?)
Hello, all. Today I received a flyer from City Hall saying that water service may be shut off to my home for 7 hours on Sunday. There’s a worrying passage near the end:
“During this period the City water main may be drained. You should take such measures as may be necessary to protect your hot water unit or other plumbing installations against possible damage. The City accepts no liability for damage resulting from this interruption of service.”
Whaaa? We aren’t going to touch the taps during the shutoff period, just to be safe; is there anything else we may need to do to prevent any damage?
I saw a small puddle under the dryer and the relief pipe end was moist. I have never noticed that before. What would cause the relief to be lifting in this hot water tank? It is an electric hot water tank.
Is there a quick cheap patch? I am totally broke. I was wondering if there is a plumbing tape or something that can buy me some time.
Thanks
We are replacing all the water lines in the house with pex. I just don’t know how to hook it to the PVC.
I want one for my betta fish. But I don’t have one yet. So what can make their water warmer at about 75 degrees while I wait for enough money to buy one?
My hot water runs out very quickly i’ve tried turning the water temp down and it helped a little but I want it to last longer.
There are three settings, vacation, medium and hot. Right now it’s on vacation and we don’t have any hot water. Do I just need to put in on medium or hot?
Is the temperature window on the upper part of the heater corresponds to the higher temperature setting and the lower window on the lower part corresponds to the lower temperature setting? I have an old heater and all markings are gone except for the temp dial. I am just making sure I am doing this right. Also, what should be the optimum temperature difference to save on electricity? 5 degrees? 10 degrees difference?
Thanks for all the help and any tips you can give to converse energy for this summer.
