Toilet burps large bubbles whenever I run the washer, take showers, or run water in bath and kitchen sinks. Tub backs up (fills) with water whenever taking a shower. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but all of this started happening after an internal piece was replace inside the toilet along with the wax ring replacement. The internal toilet part was replaced because the toilet would ‘run’ water quite frequently throughout the day (making loud noises) as if someone kept flushing it–even during the middle of the night. Weird! Help if you can. All comments greatly appreciated!

I have radiator heat in my house. The automatic pressure valve was leaking so i had it replaced. The automatic feed for the hot water is shut off. Everything was fine then tonight i was in the basement and i heard water running…the relief valve was pouring water out. I don’t know what to do. It is new and was replaced so something is causing the water to pour out. Please help. I feel like an idiot calling the plumber back 3 days in a row for this.

Servis Machine delivered today but looks like it fits only hot or cold tap, not both! We have plumbed it into hot, done a wash, but after spinning, the clothes are lifted out very warm. (prob due to hot water rinse). Is this normal, or should we plumb her into cold. Answers greatly appreciated.

I don’t know much about plumbing, but it’s been driving me mad! I have water from the main water supply and I can run the washing machine with no problem. The problem is the toilet has so little water and my sink isn’t working as it should. I’m calling a plumber but how I do actually address the problem to him? I’m scared i might be taken advantage of since I’m living on my own and no idea about valves or pipes at all! What kind of answers i might get from a plumber? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

They will fill but they no longer spin or drain. I am loosing my mind as to why this is happening. There is no noise what so ever during spin rinse cycle I can restart the fill process and it is fine. Oddly enough the same thing happened to the 1st washer. The washer drain hose is approx 4 foot off the ground. There is a box with the water lines where everything is hooked up..
I would appr. any advice that could be given to me about this.
We have great water pressure, that intermittently cuts out for approx 1 min.
Any advice would help
Thanks to all for reading

Our water is turning and and off at different times no matter if we are using hot or cold. The hot water heater and all the faucets are working fine. When we turn on the faucet, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. We switched the pump off and on at the circuit breaker-when the water was “working” and it turned off and on like it normally should. The after a while, maybe 20 minutes, the water will stop flowing out of the faucet by itself. Im calling about it tomorrow but I wanted an idea of what it might before they come and maybe I can fix it myself. We had a problem with the pressure tank before. It was leaking at the nozzle because it had corroded. But it didn’t affect the water like this. What could be the problem?

we have a leaking faucet problem in our house.
Please take a look at the video and help us fixing the problem (as 2 plumbers already gave up on this challenge).
Description of problem:
Warm water faucet in sink is dropping/leaking every 30 seconds
when I turn on the warm water faucet of the adjacent bath tub the pipes underneath the house are banging very loudly and the faucet in the sink is now having running water despite that it is closed.
If I close the faucet of the sink via the shut of valve the banging stops.
Yeap, we thought about permanently closing the warm water supply to the sink but that shouldn’t be the answer
thanks for your help

We started noticing water underneath the washing machine, and at first I thought the washing machine probably had a leaky hose. I opened up the washing machine and everything looked normal. I ran the washing machine and watched it drain to find the source of the leak, and I noticed it was coming out of the pipe that the drain hose of the washing machine hooks up to. I took some waterproof sealant and sealed the crack where the two meet. It didn’t leak there anymore, but I noticed it was leaking still in another area. Inside the cabnient where my furnace sits there is another pipe that drains excess water of my furnace and water heater, and water was coming from that. I’m guessing the two share the same main drain line into the sewer system, and the main drain is clogged

I rented a house for a year from a terrible property management company. They were horrible with maintenance, sent collection notices before they sent the bills they were meant to collect on… you get the idea. A nightmare to work with.
A couple months ago I peeled two or three carrots into the sink and ran the skins through the garbage disposal, which clogged the sink. I called maintenance and they sent out a plumber the next day, I think. The plumber took apart the pipes under the sink and showed me that the t-shaped connector pipe was contoured in such a way on the inside that it actually restricted the space on the inside by half or more. He replaced those connector pipes with different ones that were fully open on the inside, and even ran the carrot waste back through it to verify that it was working properly (which it was).
Today I got a bill from the property management company for $195 because apparently the plumber stated on his invoice to them that it was “caused by the tenant.”
Of course it happened because I was using the disposal, but I don’t believe I was using it improperly. And if it was my fault, then why would he have had to replace the existing pipes?
If it would have been my fault, it seems to me that he would have only had to unclog the drain and not replace any pipes. So why should I have to pay for more than just unclogging the drain?
I DO NOT want to pay this bill. I don’t believe it should be my responsibility. I’m interested in hearing any and all opinions on this (even if you disagree with me), but I’m especially interested in hearing a plumber’s take on the situation.
And just FYI, the house was probably built in the 1950s.
Do you think this bill should be my responsibility?
