i had a belt tensioner break,i drove about 10 miles to get home,engine temp was on high hot,about a week later tranny starting leaking,but only after i go on highway,not on short trips.
i cant tell exactly where it is coming from,it leaks out inspection port. any ideas. tranny was rebuilt 60,000 ago, so its got a lot of life left

When I turn it on it leaks past that fitting. What is a good tool to use to tighten it or remove it to fix leak. Help I have no hot water.

In April 2007 I asked my boiler servicing company to come to my house to check out my gas combi boiler. I did not know much about the boilers at that stage. We had noticed the overflow flowing for some months, although we did not know what it was. The guy came and apparently turned off the inflow of mains water into the closed system - it turned out it had been left on. My mum thinks this was probably left on accidentally when the same guy serviced it in November 2006 (taking less than 10 mins apparently). My mum was there while he sorted things out in the house. When I came home later the boiler would not work and the ceiling was leaking water in 3 places. I had been in the house for just over 2 years and there had never been any leak. The company repaired the leaks but they are claiming that the fault was poor plumbing. They are charging me £250 for the repairs, saying that working with the boiler could not cause this outcome. Seems like a big coincidence. What could have caused it?

It is in an outside closet which shares a wall with the garage. The plywood under the heater is wet, and the concrete in the garage is damp. I live in an area that has very hard water and don’t know if this could be the problem. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? There is a lot I can do (as a single woman) but I know nothing about water heaters! Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a new installation of a shower head, plumbing pipes and valve. Everything works well, no leakage, good pressure and no leakage when closing the handle. The problem comes later, after a few minutes, it will leak at about 1/3 open and for about 1-2 minutes. Then it shuts off for good until next shower.

I installed a new faucet in my bathroom sink but have found it leaking at the connection to the spigot in the wall. What should I do, or do I have to call a plumber?

hot water is leaking from the relief valve. the floor is getting wet and so is carpet. how can I stop the water from leaking there. I have turned the cold water from coming into the water heater how do I drain some of the water below the valve, if possible?
