How would I replace/join a piece of PVC pipe to my copper plumbing ? Would I use copper or PVC joints with some sort of bonding substance ? Or is there a way to repair a leak in copper plumbing/pipes by applying a leak sealer of some kind, if so what kind of sealer is best ? Thanks, much appreciated.

I have no idea what kind of plastic. I’m repairing a cracked drawer bracket.
Rubber cement? Plumbing adhesive? Ideas?

Please, no Amway/Tupperwear/Avon type companies. To repeat, we would make build/assemble items to be mailed back to Company Head Quarters for inspection then cut us a check (a.s.a.p.). The only cash necessary would be our buying tools and materials from our home town hardware stores. Thanks for helping / God Bless You and Yours !!

Home Depot sells a rubber sleeve for that very thing. It forms a flexible transition between the two materials and has a band clamp at either end to make it watertight.

I’ve tried to join a copper pipe to a female fitting above it (if that makes sense)
The solder simply ran down the pipe, and didn’t get “up” into the joint at all.
I cleaned both ends, and used a fair amount of flux…what did I do wrong?
Thanks!
