Why don’t you inquire them and find out what things they will do.

Some say I can perform any type of repairs on a property if the total amount of the work does not exceed $30,000 while others say I cannot perform any level of electrical, plumbing, or hvac, regardless of cost. There’s no official definition in the statutes as to what a handyman is or what scope of work they are limited to. Has anybody been down this road?

I would like to do the all around handyman stuff and was wondering if i could just get business card’s and flyers made? I can do Plumbing, electrical, remodeling , yard care and the odd and not so odd jobs.

We need someone who is handy with cabinetry (kitchen and bath), plumbing, electric, etc… Does anyone have reccomendations?

I have a upper 1100 sq. ft, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, LivR, DinR, needs drywall repair, painted over wallpaper to come down, and painting. Need some plumbing: frozen turn ons. Terrace railing needs staining. About it.

I am thinking of turning my construction company slightly to offer services that are based on an hourly wage. I am curious what people think a good and fair hourly wage would be for a customer to pay my company for construction related jobs. It would be a time and material rate, where the materials are paid for by customer at no mark up. This way I can have 4 guys on a job, and have them crank it out, and charge 4x the hourly wage. I have run the numbers considering the margins that I have to make to pay rent and payroll, and I think that $75 dollars an hour is fair, and I want to know opinion or comparable costs for such services(what are standard wages for plumbers $75?, electricians $55?, carpenters $45?, etc.) Granted I understand that these costs may vary with job size, but I want to make a one cost does it all. I would like to hear answers from both home owners, and business owners. Thanks in advance for your help

My husband has a clutter problem & my son is going to show him how to get rid of the excess….I am going to tell my husband what he needs & help him get rid of the rest before my son gets here….He does a little bit of so many different things….is there a basic took kit he can put together thanks….our son is a smartass who thinks he can do everything better than we can, ha, ha. so this is going to be funny. Thanks for you help.

If you actually want a career in it, consider looking to an apprenticeship. My ex was an apprentice electrician and he’s now raking in the money.

1)7 light switches replaced–new box inside and switchplate
2) move 2 storm doors–front to back and vice versa
3) glued glass onto a cabinet–4 cabinets
4) tear out and install new bathroom vanity and replace some plumbing and faucet
5) adjusted an outside door that had a gap in it.
