I have tried to pull handle straight up, but it will not budge.

Obviously, there’s going to be some plumbing involved…but I can do it, if I have instructions. :)

Cole is the brand installed in the 60s do i have to tear apart the wall or can a new fixture be installed in the old plubing

I have Moen push/pull knob style and I like to change to another brand single handle tub faucet. Is there compatibility issue I need be concerned? Will I have to do some major re-plumbing or is it a simple replacement procedure?

I have a plastic shower faucet handle — It a one-handled shower, but it has two levels/knobs… the first plastic knob turns on the water and a second knob directly behind it controls the temp. The first knob split in two and fell off — leaving the temp. knob and a metal screw that sticks out (we currently use pliers to turn the water on and off). Can I replace just the plastic handle (without having to purchase a whole new shower faucet)??? Any idea where I can find handles-only (esp. this older plastic type)???
Thanks so so much!

It is held on by a screw (probably a Philips X one). The trick is that the screw is usually hidden under a decorative cap (usually saying C or H) so that you aren’t noticing it. Look carefully at the cap. You could find an edge you can get a fingernail under and flick it out of position. You might find a hole near the edge that you can put the tip of a nail file or an ice pick into and flip it out. Rarely the little cover has a knurled edge and you can grab it with your fingers and twist if off. Once you get it off the screwdriver work just takes a few seconds to remove the handle.

Yes, the existing waterlines should hook up fine, but if they are old and fragile, you can buy new connecting pieces easily.
Put a cap or a soap dispenser in the spare holes.

I need to replace the spout and the handle on will i need to go into the wall to do this the shower head is fine the knob that you pull to divert the water to the shower is stuck so we can’t take a bath and the handle is worn out…so do i need to go into the wall to do this…need to know before i buy fixtures.. would it be better to hire someone to do this????

I have an acrylic handle on my tub faucet. It is a Moen faucet with a push/pull design. I’d like to change it to a chrome handle of some sort. I could change the faucet handle if I found one, but does such a handle exist? And where can I find one?
