How Do I Remove The Shower Handle?

I am trying to replace the O ring on the shower, but I can’t get the handle off. It is a single handle that turns counter clockwise to turn on. I was going to use a allen wrench, but I don’t see anything to unscrew. Any ideas on how to remove? I think it might be a baldwin faucet, but I am not sure since the prior owners installed it.

The handles are like t-bars and they are fitted into the sides of various tubes that probably circulate the water.

Sure you can. It’s about a 30 minute job (not counting a trip to the hardware store or home center for repair parts). One tip: Before you start taking the faucet apart, cover the drain with a towel or you might loose small parts down the drain when you drop them! And of course, turn off the water supply.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to doing the work:

The sink itself does not leak, but when I turn on the hot water, water comes OUT OF the cold handle itself, and vice versa. Otherwise there are no other issues… the water temperature and flow is fine, and there is no drip. How can I repair this, or do I need to replace the entire faucet?

My realtor bought us a new faucet set when we closed on our house. We have at the moment a really old ugly one handle thing. It also has a soap dispenser and a sprayer. I took everyhting out from under the sink to look around under there and first noticed that the copper parts all have that water crust on them so it will be difficult to easily take apart. Second thing is if all the water lines are going into the one handle is it possible to make the sink have two handles with out calling a plumber? So 2 questions. How do you get the crusty stuff off the metal while it’s all connected and will I need to call a plumber for the water lines to fit the new faucet or can it be done DIY?

Suddenly the kitchen (Price Phister) single handle faucet is making a rubbing/squeaking noise. It is 11 years old. Is there anything I can do besides replacing the entire faucet?

I had a Gerber 2 handle shower installed to replace and existing 2 handle shower. The old shower valve had the pipes attach from the ceiling side. The plumber installed the Gerber unit the same way. After he was done, he left me with a manual which says “All 2 handle valves MUST have the water supply attach from the floor side of the valve!” and “All 2 handle valves must have the water inlets pointed towards the floor.”
Is it a big deal that it was installed the other way?

The faucet is almost 5 years old and came with the new house.
I removed the handle , however, I could not remove the cover to expose the interior parts. Delta sent me a cartridge to replace, but no instructions how to install
cheked the delta website. no instruction how-to dis-assemble

At the moment, I have a single handle pull faucet (kinda looks like a big round door knob)….I want to replace it with a lever…how do I do this? can this be done without damaging tile…I would like to keep the spout (can I keep the existing spout?)….thanks

Interchangeable parts: outside faucet handle missing; can’t find one that will fit. I guess I will have to replace the whole faucet. Tried the big hardware stores, no luck.
