The paperwork the guys have to fill out such as invoices and timecards are lacking in the general information needed to reference the service call and charge the customer appropriately. We have spoken to the guys on several occasions but a few of them just won’t make the effort. We are spending too much time in the office trying to call them and get the info and it’s a time waster for us. The guys do a great job in the field but I need to find a way to reach them in a positive way. Any suggestions on how to motivate them to do this?

Our condo mgmt company is in the process of conducting inspections etc and has informed us they are changing all our locks so they can have a master key to all the units. Their goal being if they want to get in and inspect (electric, fire alarms, whatever) and we are not home to let them in that they can just walk in on their own.
This doesn’t seem right to me. We also have a dog who is home alone during the day, so there is added concern. Whenever there is a notice of inspection we have told them when we can be home for the inspection, but the impression we are getting is a master key will be made anyway and they may enter our unit with or without our knowledge.
We live in Ontario, Canada…anyone know the condo owners rights in this matter?

water heater busted and was discharging water in the crawl space under my home. (plenty of water damage) i didn’t know until was started coming in the home. called the plumbing company. after calling someone to suck the water from under the house the plumbing company assured me that there weren’t any broken pipes and that the water heater had to be replaced. i was charged $1,595 for a new water heater. plus $265 for seismic stabilizer plus $393 for new water flex lines plus $50 for a water control device plus $255 to add a drain to outside line coming from valves. my waterheater is located outside of my home. total charge for water heater was $2,558.00 for the job. he installed a 40 gallon SmartShield sensor system by General Electric Heater. How bad was I over charged. It was an emergency situation. thank you
