heater in my apartment. i touch it and i can feel it bubbling. i don’t understand because it should have nothing to do with my heat, right? will i blow up? i don’t have any hot water on at all. why? i’m scared i am going to blow up!

We have two full bathrooms in our house and have a septic system. Last night, my kids took their baths in separate bathrooms at the same time. Afterward, the tubs drained OK for a while, then both toilets began to bubble and the bathtubs seemed to stop draining. The toilets wouldn’t flush, either. It happened again this morning when I took a shower. Everything seemed fine while I was showering and afterward, my toilet began to bubble and wouldn’t flush. Last night I plunged both toilets and tubs, but it didn’t help. It’s like the lines are empty, so initially, there’s not a problem, then they fill up. After about 20 minutes or so, the toilets will flush again. They’ll also flush before someone takes a bath. Any ideas what we need to try?

Does this mean the sewage/plumbing system of my house has problems? We never had a overflow or something…Do I need to worry about it?

Gas Water Heater Making A Bubbling Noise?

I have a gas water heater that is 10 years old and when the water is running there is a loud noise that is like air bubbling in the middle of the tank. What are the possibilities causing this sound?

My house is on a septic system and I routinely use ‘Rid-X’ to keep it maintianed. Don’t think there’s a problem with the tank or leach field.
My problem appears to be with the venting of the system. Everytime a toilet is flushed, or a sink or bathtub is drained, you can hear bubbling from the other sink drains.
Is there a way to locate the problem…..and what to do when I find it?
I’ve been using chemicals to clean out the drains.
