the rooms are small. 8 x 4 feet each. Are there self enclosed units that do not require venting and or plumbing. Or, can a shaft be directed from a through the window unit to the rooms and provide sufficient air conditioning? THANKS.

I’m buying a house this week (closing is on Tuesday) and the main bathroom is in need of a little facelift. The current sink needs to be replaced because it has some rust or rot or… whatever happens to sinks.
My ex-husband works at a hotel, and they’ve recently done some re-modeling in their bathrooms. As a result, there are a number of counter/sinks - I’m not sure what they’re called, but it’s where the counter and the sink are all one piece - Anyway, I can get one of their old sinks for very cheap (maybe free), but my question is…
The sinks from the hotel are molded on the left side, and the sink in the vanity at the house is on the right. will it be possible to run the plumbing to the opposite side of the vanity? Is there a fairly simple fix?
Thanks!

We closed on Tuesday and started moving in. Plumbing didn’t really start getting used until the next day. First thing Thursday morning all hell broke loose. Toilets and bathtub started overflowing. Couldn’t get a plumber out that day or the next so of course the problem just got worse. Ceiling is leaking all over the basement. We have a warranty on the house which won’t cover anything. Homeowners insurance might cover sheetrock but that’s it. We havent even been here a week and now we have thousands of dollars worth of damage that we are expected to pay. Is there anything I can do about this? I don’t think we should be responsible when the seller had to have known there was a problem(which she vehemently denies and we can’t prove). Should I get a lawyer? We finally got a plumber here today which we had to pay $60 for them to do nothing. It’s going to be 3 thousand just for them to clean the pipes.

Either or? Does it make a difference if it’s city or septic tank plumbing? It just seems like such a mess to put all this nasty, used tooth floss in the waste basket, it always dangles over the side and looks all unsightly…

I have an 1859 townhouse with 8 units in it. It is 5 stories high. The plumbing was redone in the 1930’s. I replaced the water heater 2 years ago. There has never been a rust problem before. Now on the top floor in one unit all the water in the kitchen and baths is really rusty. A plumber doesn’t know how to fix the problem. What can be done?

I have this issue for 5 years. HondaCivic 93 144k. The AC is cold when weather is cool, but blows hot air when weather is hot. Recently I brought it to a mechanic. After inspection, he said there was no leakage, the compressor works fine. He replaced the expansion valve for $250 and refilled the freon. He used a temperature measure device to show me that the air blowing out of the expansion is 33Fdegree. So I thought he fixed the problem. It’s been 3 weeks; I still experience a similar issue. When I use my car around 10am to go to work, the AC is freezing cold. The AC would continue to be cold forever if I don’t turn it off. When I go uphill, the AC stops blowing cold air until I get over the hill. My job is in a hot valley, the car parked outside, air in the car get up to 200F. At lunch (2 hours later), the AC can still get cold. When I drive home at 6pm, the AC blows extremely hot air. The trip takes 30′; the AC seems to never stop blowing hot air. At 8pm, it can get cold again

How Can I Make Sie Money - Legally?

I live in Northern Michigan - and the work here is slow
by slow I mean almost non existant, there is work, but it is all under 7.50 hr, most is seasonal.
I am certified in Construction carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, as well as over 15 years experience in custom auto body and painting.
What state in the USA has the best jobs that I would be a good candidate for??

Hi!
I am a tenant in a property of just over 6 years. Annually lease. Private let through letting agent.
Previous issues have been the agent handing out keys to tradesmen, for non urgent repairs - they turn up without knocking and let themselves in - without any notice or warning on 4 occasions. Despite telling the agents the keys must not be handed out and I wish to be present. I was once in the shower when a workman walked in me, not only very scared but as a lone female also vunerable standing with only a towel on.
I always give plenty of times and dates to allow access if I know they wish entry for gas certificate/repairs etc these dates are often ignored and basically I’m told we will be here on said date as we have keys - my problem is, as I travel a lot - this could mean with their extreme last minute notice if at all then if I’m away I wouldn’t get the notice.
Do I have a right to reply and be present as it’s not case of refusing entry to be awkward \but often I’m away from home or due to nightshifts I often are sleep during the day. The agent complained she couldn’t get into the bedroom - I said I worked nights and was sleeping, and as they couldn’t state a time just 08.30-18.00 I couldn’t stay awake all day and since they wouldn’t change the date to an option of many I had suggested.
The last inspection I got a letter from the agent on the Saturday - they are closed all weekend - stating an inspection was due they would be around on the Monday morning first thing as they had keys - no time to respond as office shut all weekend.
Surely even with notice and the fact I’ve expressed my feelings over the keys not being handed out that I’m entitled to give permission - the assumption seems to be - no response must mean permission, so they come and let themselves in. If I’m on holiday I wouldn’t have the chance to even know my home was being entered.
Inspections used to be annually but now they have changed to every 3 months - a change I wasn’t told of in advance.
This time I’ve been sent a text message at 18.00 to advise of an inspection tomorrow at some time. This nearly got deleted as it came from a name I didn’t recognise and the abbreviations of the from on the text wasn’t of the letting agent. Again very last minute and doesn’t give me a right of response. Also if I was away abroad the mobile wouldn’t be on, this message would be missed an again they would enter with keys without permission.
Every time I complain – they say sorry the keys will never be handed out without your permission – only till the next time and should the notice they give be late or I don’t get it they assume all OK and even without my permission they keys are handed out again.
I understand under emergency situations but this isn’t one - advice please :)
Best Regards

Should we ask ‘Joe The Plumber” Do you think he would know?
