Ok here is the problem. My wife and I found a house that we fell in love with, got financing approved, everything was going off without a hitch. Then when we got the home inspection back we find out that the home has damage in the attic contingent with a water leak and several other problems that to me were a little scetchy for a house that was supposed to have been totally renevated in 2005. then we find out that with the damage that we propably wont be able to get the house insured. The realtor we have been working with said the owners of the house dont want to make any repairs, but they dont want to give up the earnest money. We are meeting with the head honcho at the real estate office on Monday and she says that we will “work it out” what ever that means. Let me begin with our situation. First off, we did go to the bank, got pre-qualified . We had all our preliminary paper work sent to us. Would the lender of sent everything through (ordered appraisal and sent to lawyers office for deed search etc.) if he wasnt 100% sure the loan was going to go through. WHATS THE DEAL? I sure hope you all can ease my mind a little.
