Now, when I turned them on, they are dripping. My plumbing was installed 2 years ago and everything is pretty new. The nipple which holds the faucet handle is impossible to turn in any direction and water is dripping from it. How can I tighten is?Would it work if I just put silicon around it to stop water? I know that’s the best is to call plumber, but they charge so much even for little things. Please ,advise.

There is no “set” amount of noise permissible. The material the pipes are made of results in the amount of noise. Normally, the only piping that makes noise is the drain pipes. Cast iron is the quietest and plastic is the noisiest.

Working within the hospitality industry for many years I think I would be a good candidate as project manager or a home inspector. Are there any firms or management companies that will hire someone not yet licensed?

We are in the process of selling our house and the buyer had a home inspection while we were on vacation. While we were gone, our air conditioner pan started to leak. Both the selling and buying real estate agent (Texas) was aware of it. When we came back I noticed water on the floor, but they never told me that they knew many days earlier. Shouldn’t they be required to tell me? I just lucky that I discovered it before it did any damage to the sheet rock nearby. Do they have any responsibilty to report to me damage of immediate concern (water, fire, burglary etc…)

I need to replace my kitchen cabinets, countertop, sink/faucet. I’m on a limited budget and can’t do the job myself. Anyone have experiences, good or bad, with Lowes or Home Depot doing this type of job? Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your advice in advance!

Just running the faucets will get the air out. Let the air escape slowly to prevent getting splattered and possibly blowing your aerators off. However, if you continually have air in your lines then I assume you are on a well and it is a sign that your tank has become full of air. You can remedy this by turning off your pump, letting your system drain down completely and then turning everything back on. While you may not get the exact ratio of air and water in your tank, it will solve your problem until you can get a pro to set up your system properly.
Good Luck!

Well, my Whirpool Water Heater 9(electric) stopped working a few days ago… no hot water! I have done all the troubleshooting possible but nothing yet. When I purchased my house the water heater was already here but I do not have anytype of receipt of purchase not even the manuals. I do have serial number, etc because they are noted on the unit. Will Whirpool honor the warranty? what will they cover? should I just call somebody else to fix and not worry about the warranty? (I mean if it is going to be a hassle…) Thank you all!
