Maintenance Sanitized With Wd-40 After Restroom Plumbing?
Downstairs apt had bathroom poop water dripping down from restroom fan. Catching remaining drippage caught in plastic bag. Even I was surprised when maintenance confirmed it was what I thought. Didn’t clean up, I did. Then I asked for sanitation of the interior wall area with a spray or something. Sent immigrant back he told me it wasn’t leaking anymore. Property Mgr apologized and told me he should have and will come with a certain agent to sanitize. He came back with WD-40!!!! I asked it about that, said he was going to use that while they waited on the product they needed to arrive and would come back. Took fan down cleaned it this time after spraying area inside ceiling after poop plumbing problem with WD-40. Disturbing.

Oh that is NASTY, lazy and ignorant. An an insult to your intelligence and your family. I think as irrelevant to sanitation as WD-40 is, it would actually spread germs further as it greased them and track longer on the feet or tails or nose of any unwanted or newly attracted to poo, rodents in the wall. Shame on them!!
Maybe if you didn’t have an attitude towards people like you do they might have done it right. Referring to someone as an “immigrant” or ” I asked IT about that” is a pretty sh*tty attitude to have and then ask people to help you. If you have no respect for people you get none in return, it’s that simple!
Yes, disturbing. WD-40 can do miracles in some circumstances, but sanitation isn’t one of them.
However, the back of the spray can says it “displaces moisture”, “cleans water deposits”, and can “prevent rust and corrosion”. Not kill germs.
Yuck!
wd -40 not for killing germs they should have cleaned up your mess as well as sprayed the area down with a germicidal cleaner and dry the area out with dehumidifier or fan i know iwould have taken the extra steps to make my residents happy
Disturbing.
Sounds like you’ve got larry, Moe & Curly on the job.
WD 40 will just encapsulate the mung in a nice layer of grease
making it harder to clean later.
Maybe because they couldn’t fix the problem straight away, thinking they would dazzle you with a SPECIAL spray to solve the problem and shut you up.
